Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris [Blu-ray]

Gamera, everyone's favorite rocket-propelled prehistoric flying turtle, returns to the big screen in this monster epic from Japan. Ayana (Ai Maeda) is a teenage girl whose parents were killed when Gamera last got angry and attacked Tokyo. She finds an baby flying reptile in the woods and rescues it, knowing this creature is a Gyaos, traditionally the arch-enemy of Gamera. Sure enough, Gamera comes back again, and is soon doing battle with Iris, Ayana's Gyaos, though most humans (when not screaming in terror or fleeing for their lives) find themselves debating just who is the good guy in this fight, the turtle or the flying lizard. Gamera 3: Revenge Of Iris was a major box-office success in Japan, where audiences never seem to tire of seeing their major cities destroyed by giant monsters (a phenomenon commented upon by one of the characters in the film).
