"Allow the fine folks at The Educational Archives to whisk you away to a more innocent time -- a time when the hypnotic flicker of the classroom projector bestowed endless wisdom upon the students of our nation's schools and misinformation flowed faster than the mighty Mississippi. Not only does The Educational Archives: Limited Edition Lunchbox set offer viewers a chance to view four Educational Archives releases that have otherwise gone out of print, but, packaged in a snazzy metal lunchbox complete with thermos, it's the only box set that can keep your soup warm as well as it entertains! This set consists of The Educational Archives, Vol. 1: Sex and Drugs, The Educational Archives, Vol. 2: Social Engineering 101, The Educational Archives, Vol. 3: Driver's Ed., and The Educational Archives, Vol. 4: On the Job. As one could imagine, given the age of these films, image quality varies wildly throughout. Though debris abounds in the majority of the films and skips come fast and furious, this merely adds to the warm sense of nostalgia offered by these classroom staples of yore. The option to view the films in ""Classroom Experience"" mode (which simulates a projector noise) on the discs for Driver's Ed. and On the Job only adds to the experience, and as one might expect, the quality of the English Dolby Digital 5.0 and Mono soundtracks varies almost as much as the visual presentation. Though bonus features are limited, interactive film strips on the first two volumes offer viewers the option of learning all about the birds and the bees and overcoming personal fears, and notes on each film by collection curator Skip Elsheimer give a brief overview of the content therein."
