Phil Mulloy: Extreme Animation

British filmmaker Phil Mulloy is one of the darkest and funniest voices in contemporary animation. Populated by stiff, scarecrow-like figures, his crudely drawn films don't skimp on gore or social commentary as Mulloy combats hypocrisy with eviscerating humor. Often creating shorts as part of larger thematic works, Extreme Animation includes his multi-film series Cowboys, The History of the World, The Ten Commandments, and Intolerance, which plays like a forgotten novel from Kurt Vonnegut's Kilgore Trout. Also featured here are several standalone shorts: The Wind of Changes, The Chain, The Sexlife of a Chair, and The Sound of Music.
