Rob hated hospitals. He hated anything to do with sickness. But, here he was getting a physical at the walk-in clinic, thanks to his jerk of a boss. Rob tried not to make eye contact with the people around him, especially those who smelled. He didn't see the frail woman coming towards him. Neither did he realize what happened until he looked down and saw her sprawled on the floor, bald head and all. He couldn't do anything else but stare. After someone helped her to her seat, Rob felt himself drawn to her. She was not attractive by any means, except for the soulful look in her over large eyes. She caught him staring at her and smiled with embarrassment. She reassured the little boy sitting next to her. Rob couldn't get out of there fast enough. It was a chance encounter, but one which would change his life and that of Sara's for the rest of their lives.
