Likehell: The Movie

"This mock documentary look at the numerous rises and falls of jokey punk metal band Likehell (who happen to be a real group, though their history bears no resemblance to what happens in this movie) comes to DVD in an adequate if unspectacular edition. Likehell: The Movie was shot on video and has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1; the image quality is adequate but not especially strong. The dialogue and narration is in English, with no subtitles or multiple language options included. The audio has been mastered in PCM Stereo, and sounds as good as the location recording permits. As a bonus, this disc includes a trailer for the film, a collection of outtakes and flubs, and six music videos from Likehell, which offers a greater opportunity to get to know the band's music than the movie itself offers. Likehell's fans will get a chuckle out of this, but neither the film or its presentation is especially impressive on their own."
