"A bank robbery puts a pair of gay petty criminals into deeper trouble than they expected in this dark and offbeat thriller, which has been given a simple but effective release on North American DVD. Plata Quemada (aka Burnt Money) has been given a letterboxed transfer to disc in the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1, which has also been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo, and the dialogue is in Spanish, with optional English-language subtitles. As a bonus, the movie's original theatrical trailer has been included, as well as previews for other titles from Strand Releasing."
