Seeking inspiration in rural southern France, filmmaker Leo (Damien Bonnard) attempts to track down a wolf, but instead is seduced by a free-spirited shepherdess named Marie (India Hair). Their fling produces a child, but Marie, lacking faith in Leo's prospects as a partner, abandons both of them, leaving the young artist to care for the baby by himself.
