Apollo

In the first installment of the Trail of Tears series, a male to female transsexual was found tortured, abused, naked, and left for dead in the Arizona desert. The gruesome discovery was the third across a two state area, which had the indications of a violent pornography syndicate. Homophobic F.B.I. Special Agent Dan McNeil, of Tucson, Arizona, was assigned the case, and despite his personal bias, forced himself to work with the victim. McNeil quickly discovers the case is much more than pornography, as he is drawn into the CIA's world of secrecy, international terrorism, and assassins. However, the criminal world is not all that Dan finds himself battling, as the events open his mind, and he finds himself questioning his own beliefs and feelings.
