The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant [Criterion Collection]

In this film, the recently-divorced, lonely Petra von Kant turns to secretary Hanna Schygulla for comfort -- and, eventually, sexual gratification. The film suggests that the same tensions and vacillations which attend a heterosexual relationship are also present in a homosexual liaison.
