An angry young man fails to find comfort in the arms of his girlfriend. Jaded and bored, he gets his kicks by planning a political murder. He finds he enjoys the act itself more than the political cause that prompted the crime. His philosophical beliefs become secondary to the exhilaration of the killing. This moody and unevenly paced film was written and directed by Jean-Luc Goddard.
