"Disney brings the classic Fantasia to DVD in a lovely 60th anniversary edition, restoring the intermission and narration from the original theatrical release and presenting the film in the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio with remastered sound (DTS Digital Surround or Dolby Surround Sound). The ""Making of Fantasia"" featurette brings together animators, film historians, and actual production staff to tell the story of Walt Disney's inspiration and later financial disappointment. The 45-minute documentary also includes archival footage and photographs of Disney during the creative process. A unique feature is an audio commentary track with Disney's own thoughts about Fantasia, compiled from recorded interviews, readings from company transcripts, and analysis by animation historian John Canemaker. The second audio track with Roy E. Disney, conductor James Levine, and others offers an enthusiastic chorus of admiration and appreciation."
