This documentary recalls the experiences of British travel writer Norman Lewis in Italy during WWII, which he described in his acclaimed book Naples '44. The film includes wartime footage, clips of modern Naples, and excerpts from Lewis' book read by Benedict Cumberbatch. Directed by Francesco Patierno.
