The History of Warfare: William Wallace - The True Story

Scotchman William Wallace gained notoriety from director-star Mel Gibson's 1995 Best Picture winner, Braveheart - which very brutally and bloodily dramatized the 13th century warrior's struggle to unify Scotland in a revolt against its British oppressors. This film tells the same story from a documentary angle, making copious use of dramatic reenactments - with a particularly strong emphasis on the events at the victory at Lanark and the burning of Stirling Bridge.
