National Geographic: The Human Family Tree

This National Geographic special begins with a small group of strangers in Queens, NY, and traces their roots back to the same set of ancestors in East Africa. Though they are different races, and their families arrived in the U.S. under completely different circumstances, each person's DNA can nonetheless be traced back to the "cradle of humanity." The Human Family Tree explores the myriad ways that the earliest humans spread across the globe, and analyzes the ties that bind us all.
