New technology meets legendary belief in New Explorers: Betrayal at Little Big Horn. For decades, historians believed General Custer's defeat at the hands of Sioux Chief Sitting Bull was a result of bad planning. But, emerging scientific techniques including battle re-enactment and analysis of freshly discovered evidence indicate that that supposition might be way off. The 1876 slaughter left hundreds of soldiers and civilians dead and took the American government completely by surprise. But, was it really so cut and dry?
