Biography: Susan B. Anthony

The legacy of an important historical figure is examined in this Biography by A&E. Susan B. Anthony was born into an activist Quaker family and soon began to fight injustice wherever she encountered it. But being a woman proved to be an obstacle in her struggles, and so, after a meeting with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, she began to fight for the rights of American women. Their endeavors on behalf of women finally came to fruition after Anthony's death when women gained the right to vote in 1920.
