In this moving romantic drama, Ginger Rogers stars as a woman convicted of manslaughter. She is granted a 10-day furlough for Christmas to visit relatives. Once out, on a train she encounters a shell-shocked vet on leave from the VA psych ward. Together they attempt to have a happy Christmas.
