You Never Know Women [Blu-ray]

This cinemadaptation of an Ernest Vajda story stars Florence Vidor as Vera Janova, a member of a Russian circus troupe. Vera is in love with her partner, escape artist Ivan Norodin (Clive Brook), but soon she switches allegiance to handsome Eugene Foster (Lowell Sherman). Realizing that he's only in the way, Ivan fakes his own death and disappears from view. He returns just in time to learn that Vera, who's discovered that Eugene is a no-good cad, is now sadly pining away for her "lost" lover. Comedian El Brendel is affording a rare opportunity to show off his physical dexterity in the role of the Toberchik the clown, while real-life strongman Joe Bonomo more or less plays himself.
