La Prisonnière

In this rather grim drama, a woman leaves the security (and boredom) of her stable affair with an artist to embark on a fling with a troubled and interestingly complex art dealer. Unfortunately his complexity includes impotence related to childhood experiences with his mother, and a penchant for sadomasochistic photography. Still this does not deter her, and she remains obsessed until they finally do connect. The affair is tempestuous leaving the girl on the brink of suicide.
