The Manions of America

The Manions of America, initially telecast September 30, and October 1 and 2, 1981. Part One tells of O'Manion's last days on the Auld Sod. His love affair with British aristocrat Rachel Clement (Kate Mulgrew) sets the stage for the class and ethnic prejudices O'Manion will face upon landing in America. Part Two of Manions of America (see entry 127307) develops a subplot involving another Irish immigrant, played by Linda Purl.
