This a story of triumph after tragedy growing up in the housing projects in Baltimore, Maryland. Becoming a single mother of four children only to lose two of them in a house fire; going through life finding the courage to become a firefighter paramedic for an urban metropolitan fire department; to being diagnosed with cancer twice, going into remission and beginning to live again only to lose my grandmother who had a great impact on my life. I have overcome such pain and grief to find the strength to help other mothers on their journey of grief.
