Enjoy recipes and memories begun when Napoleon Bonaparte "Pole" Hemphill was born in Red Rock, Texas, in 1875 and later took Ada Magnolia Talley to be his bride in 1898. Six generations later, we're sharing favorites that go from healthy to decadent. From breakfast to backpack to bedtime. There are some beverage recipes, too.

Find delicious gluten, sugar, and fat free recipes and others that are unapologetically indulgent. Some make quick, easy meals but others take a bit more time. All them are tried and true.

And there's chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!

The Hemphill cooks who shared these recipes run the gamut from the 2-year-old who already loves helping her Neena in the kitchen to others who've expressed their love at the dinner table for 75 years or more. We are pros and amateurs. Some of us love to cook; others would rather not. Our common bond, besides being family, is a collection of recipes we've enjoyed so much we pass them around and share them from one generation to the next.

These recipes are sure to please men and women, girls and boys of all ages and we've even got a few sure to please a hungry hound, too.
