The period drama follows Lucien Chardon and his turbulent road to pursue his dreams of becoming a writer. After arriving in Paris as a young poet, Lucien changes course when he dives into the world of journalism. He soon becomes a review writer for local theater plays, publishing rave reviews in exchange for bribes. Based on Honor? de Balzac's classic novel, the film competed for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2021.
