"This DVD release features rare footage of two performances by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, recorded for local brodcast on KHNL-TV, an NBC affiliate in Honolulu. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole: Hot Hawaiian Nights has been trasferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio is in Dolby Digital Stereo. The disc contains no additional bonus features, but given the rarity of filmed performances by the late Hawaiian vocalist, fans will doubtless be grateful for the opportunity to see this material, especially non-islanders who could never have seen the initial broadcasts."
