David Montalvo’s book is not only a self-help book or a book on personal improvement, but a business book developed around the idea that the training of entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and managers has more to do with the development of attitude rather than the transfer of knowledge. The ‘elephant’ is the metaphor on which the book is based; it represents any problem or adverse circumstance, either current or that which has not yet been resolved, that impedes us from obtaining what we strive for: greater income, increased sales, financial freedom, happiness, leadership, and emotional stability.
