"You've seen him in front of the camera in such features as Cabin Fever, Detroit Rock City, and Independence Day, and now longtime actor Giuseppe Andrews makes his feature directorial debut with the gleefully repugnant Trailer Town. Presented in 1.33:1, the visual quality of the digital-video feature ranges from merely acceptable to near unwatchable -- though this is a result of the actual moviemaking process and by no means a fault of Troma's transfer, which is virtually flawless. Director Andrews admits in an interview included in this release that he's not the most technically adept cinematographer, and his inexperience shines through in an overexposed, out-of-focus glory that some will call art, and others will call trash. Audio is likewise shaky at best, with all dialogue accompanied by large print subtitles that appear scattered across the screen. As with the majority of Troma releases, there is an abundance of bonus materials with which to waste away the day when one is finished viewing the main attraction. An interview with Andrews by Troma president Lloyd Kaufman finds the director explaining his emergence as a filmmaker as well as his unique philosophy behind the camera. Also included are Story of a Jahnke and Who Flung Poo -- two early films from the fearless Andrews. In addition to yet another interview with Andrews, Troma has also seen fit to include numerous trailers and an advertisement for the company's website."
