"This update of Carmen, set in the world of hip hop, comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that creates an image with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1, as well as a standard full-frame transfer. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a making-of featurette that aired originally on MTV. This is a solid release from Warner Brothers that will please its intended audience, although there is little here to interest the average DVD consumer."
