"Rowen Atkinson's very popular comedy series The Black Adder had five successful seasons on the BBC. This five-disc set contains each of those hysterical seasons. Each of the discs in this set (Blackadder I, Blackadder II, Blackadder III, Blackadder Goes Forth, and Blackadder Back & Forth) is available individually, but this package is the most cost-effective way to attain all of them. The discs offer standard full-frame transfers that preserve the original broadcast aspect ratios of the episodes. The closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles on this release. Supplemental materials include a who's who and a what's what to help explain the series, a singalong section, and an old interview with co-writer Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill).
