Dave Weckl: How to Practise

Dave Weckl continues his drum instruction in How to Practice, keeping the same demonstration sequence of explanation, then demo on drum pad, and finally demo on drum set. Practice is extremely important, as Weckl explains warm-ups, independence practice, hands and feet, and Swiss triplets. He discusses how to build time into playing, and how different levels of practice can determine the kind of drumming that is possible. The lessons are incorporated into live performances of the Dave Weckl Band, as his points are brought home.
