"This three-day festival rendition of Richard Wagner's magnum opus +Der Ring des Nibelungen emerged from the joint efforts of The Deutsches Nationaltheater, the Staatskapelle Weimar, and the Staatstheater Th?ringen in 2008. This set includes all four installments of the cycle: Das Rheingold, Die Walk?re, Siegfried, and G?tterd?mmerung. The productions star Frieder Aurich, Kirsten Blanck, Erin Caves, and others; Dirk Becker designed the sets, Ren?e Listerdal did the costumes, and Michael Schulz directs for the stage. The Opera Chorus of the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, the Gentlemen of the Philharmonic Chorus Weimar, and the Supernumeraries of the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar lend added accompaniment, with Carl St. Clair conducting."
