Britten's seminal opera is performed in June 2013 on the beach at Aldeburgh during the Festival that Britten founded. The fisherman Peter Grimes (Alan Oke) is ostracized by the townsfolk of Aldeburgh which leads to a tragic denouement. This production was seen in cinemas in September 2013.
