David Hockney: Pleasures of the Eye

This film looks at the life and works of British-born artist David Hockney. Much of the video takes place in the home of the artist, in his adopted city of Los Angeles. He talks about his professional life as a multi-media artist and his private life as a homosexual. Although he has been termed a pop artist by some, Hockney's work defies categorization, as a tour of his studio reveals. In addition to his works on canvas, Hockney has produced many outstanding sets for the theater.
