Giovanni Pergolesi died tragically young of TB. Nonetheless, eight operas are ascribed to him. All eight are performed at the Pergolesi festival at Jesi: IL PRIGIONIER SUPERBO, LA SERVA PADRONA, IL FLAMINIO, LA SALUSTIA, L'OLIMPIADE, LO FRATE 'NNAMORATO, ADRIANO IN SIRIA and LIVIETTA E TRACOLLO.
