Pique Dame [2 Discs]

The Gran Teatre del Liceu mounted this 2011 production of Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky's opera +Pique Dame: The Queen of Spades, about the soldier Hermann, and his quest to win the heart of the elusive Lisa, and ascertain "the secret of the three cards" from her countess grandmother. This version stars Misha Didyk as Hermann, Lado Ataneli as Count Tomsky and Zlatogor, Ludovic T?zier as Prince Yeletsky, Ewa Podle? as The Countess, and Emily Magee as Lisa.
