Director Russell Mulcahy's action-adventure film is a biopic of famed Australian-born American actor Errol Flynn (Thomas Cocquerel), based on his 1937 autobiography. It tells the story of his outlandish pre-Hollywood life as an adventurous gambler, daredevil explorer, opium smuggler, Pacific War veteran, gold prospector, street fighter, and serial womanizer.
