This classical release finds Finnish maestro Paavo J?rvi joining forces with The Deutsch Kammerphilharmonie Bremen to help foster a new understanding and appreciation of the composer Robert Schumann (1810-56). The resultant essay film intercuts extracts from the group's symphonic rehearsals of Schumann pieces, biographical insights into Schumann himself, individual musicians discussing specific passages, and much more.
