Just Before Nightfall

In this French New Wave crime drama, a murderous ad man's wife talks him out of telling the police that he strangled his mistress. The guilt-ridden fellow then tells his late mistress' husband. Although the confessions bring him temporary comfort, they don't rid him of his guilt.
