Second Chance Season

Nick Young, a 17-year-old basketball hopeful, stands at the center of {|Daniel H. Forer|}'s biographical study. Young carries the potential to weigh in as one of the top collegiate recruits in the country, but terrible grades and SAT scores weigh him down -- to such an extent that they threaten to prevent his graduation from Reseda, California's Cleveland High School. Meanwhile, Young's family buckles beneath the weight of a tragedy: the long-ago murder of their older son, killed 13 years prior. Confronted by many obstacles that stand in is path, Young projects a wealth of uplifting perseverance and tenacity that continue to carry him forward, seemingly against all odds.
