Don Giovanni (Glyndebourne Festival Opera)

The Glyndebourne Festival Opera mounted this 2010 production of W.A. Mozart's Don Giovani, under the aegis of producer-stage director Jonathan Kent - a version reportedly influenced by Fellini's movie La Dolce vita (1960). It stars Gerald Finley in the title role, Anna Samuil as Donna Anna, Kate Royal as Donna Elvira, Luca Pisaroni as Leporello and William Burden as Don Ottavio. The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment lends symphonic accompaniment, under the direction of maestro Vladimir Jurowski, while Jeremy Bines serves as chorus master. Paul Brown designed the sets.
