"As developed by The Sesame Workshop - the group responsible for Sesame Street - and originally aired on PBS between 1992 and 1995, the children's educational series Ghostwriter bore an unusual premise. It starred Sheldon Turnipseed as Jamal Jenkins, a Brooklyn-based teen who began receiving strange and mysterious messages on his personal computer. The unknown sender gradually indicated that he was a deceased person (hence, the ""Ghostwriter"" of the title). Over the course of three seasons, Ghostwriter attempted to communicate with Jamal, Lenni, Gabby, Rob, Tina and Alex by manipulating words and letters, thus teaching them writing skills and literacy; he also helped them solve a number of mysteries in and around their neighborhood. This set contains all eight Season One episodes of Ghostwriter, including Ghost Story, Who Burned Mr. Brinker's Store, and To Catch a Creep.
