Consider the Day family: Stormy Day's mother vanished when he was born, which was years before his unusual sisters -- Sunny and Holly -- mysteriously arrived.
His father Lucky is an eccentric, alcoholic, one-armed ex-prize fighter who is determined to carry all of the family secrets to his imminent grave beside his own father, who isn't actually dead.
But none of that works out.
