The Devil's Doorway

Director Aislinn Clarke's debut feature film was inspired by the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland, where "fallen women" were confined and exploited for their labor under directives from the Catholic Church between the 18th and 20th centuries. Set in 1960 in Northern Ireland, this horror film follows Father Thomas Riley (Lalor Roddy) and Father John Thornto (Ciaran Flynn) as they investigate a reported miracle at a remote asylum. But instead of coming across a work of God, they find evidence of abusive nuns and demonic forces running amok.
