"Melissa Painter's Admissions begins when Evie (Lauren Ambrose), a teenager who has great difficulty doing what is expected of her, purposefully messes up interviews she has with a variety of universities. Her sister has developmental issues, but writes fabulous poetry. When Evie begins lying about her sister's creations, a series of unforeseen events affects the family, leading to the revelation of some family secrets."
