This documentary focuses on the rich but little-known history of African-American surfers, showing how the activity which is often associated with white, blond, all-American California men has been a part of black culture as well. Among the people the documentary features are Michael Green, black surfing historian Rick Blocker, and TV personality Sal Masekela.
