PBS home video looks at the visual arts awakening in Harlem in the 1920's and 1930's. Dispite prejudice and segregation these artists triumphed. Even though they were not allowed to show in the mainstream galleries Harlem was alive with creativity. The roaring twenties in Harlem became a vibrant place to exibit the suddent outburst of art.
