"As created and produced by Carol Sauvion, the popular public television series Craft in America promotes handicrafts and encourages viewers interested in this area to follow their own creative instincts. It also places a particularly strong emphasis on examining the many ways that craft artists transcend skill itself to actually use the form for political or personal expression.
