As the summer holidays approach, college freshman Alia (Sophia Ali) moves back to her affluent family's home for the season. Much to her dismay, she inadvertently stumbles upon unsettling uncharacteristic deceptions from her parents' shared past that force her to reconsider everything about what she knows of her traditionalist Indian family in the present.
