Made in 2010 by Oleg Dorman just months before the subject's death. Rudolf Barshai (1924-2010), conductor and renowned orchestrator, left the USSR in 1977 and settled in the West. He founded the Moscow Chamber Orchestra in the 1950s with whom he made a series of acclaimed recordings.
