Crime Busters [WS]

"Somerville House has assembled a decent edition of Crime Busters for the U.S. market. The transfer has some flaws but looks decent overall: the picture looks a little dark in spots and there is some motion blurring in a few areas but the levels of color and detail are strong throughout. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby mono: the source material has some hiss and the occasional dropout but it gets the job done. While not a special edition, this disc throws on a couple of interesting extras for fans. The most notable is a video interview with Bud Spencer: it's short (about five minutes total) but Spencer has a few interesting things to say about his career and what it was like working in the Italian film business. Elsewhere, there are trailers for Crime Busters and other Hill/Spencer vehicles, a few excerpted scenes from some of these films and some text biographies. To sum up, the transfer could have been a little better but this a decent package for fans, particularly at its cost-conscious price point."
