Submarine Warfare

Via illustrations, archival footage and detailed historical accounts, the nonfiction release Submarine Warfare offers one of the first major documentary chronicles of the centuries-long progress of submarine development. The program spans each major stage, from the earliest and crudest forms of submarines, such as the leather Drebbel boats of the 17th century, through the Turtle Boats of the Revolutionary War, the emergence of Holland Boats, the models of submarine used in the two world wars and the more contemporary Leviathans and nuclear submarines, glimpsed in action.
